Educational Programmes

& Sessions

  • Alpaca Training

Join us in 2020 for our alpaca training and alpaca agility sessions. We will learn how to train alpacas using positive methods and clicker training techniques. There will be some theory behind animal training followed by practical, hands on alpaca training finishing with a short agility course.

For more information please email us.

  • Alpaca Yoga

    1st August 2020

Our Alpaca Yoga sessions provide an opportunity to enjoy a yoga session in our beech woodland surrounded by our herd of 16 alpacas. They are quite curious and love to know what's going on. After your yoga session we will head down to our sit-oot-ery for refreshments and cake.

  • Animal Husbandry & Care

    Starts Sept 2020

Our Animal Care programme is supported by the AQA Unit Award Scheme where appropriate. We look at the husbandry and care of hens, alpacas, sheep, ducks, dogs and goats. This programme runs in long term blocks for Home Educated teens

Home Ed. Thursdays 10am-1pm suitable for children aged 11+.

  • Online Animal Care

For teenagers who are home schooled or simply want to take a course in Animal Care as an add on to their curriculum. Programmes are delivered by a weekly Zoom session with follow up activities to complete at home. We use interactive online platforms to help engage students and there is no pressure to 'talk' during the video sessions; the chat function is well used!

This programme is linked to AQA Unit Award Scheme if you wish and can be accessed at any point throughout the academic year.

  • Virtual Alpaca Sessions

Join our alpacas from the comfort of your own home, office or group setting. Our virtual sessions last around 30 minutes and are tailor made to suit the needs of your family or group. All we need is a link to the online video platform of your choice and for you to be sitting comfortably!

  • 1:1 Animal Care

You can access all of our services on a 1:1 basis if you prefer. You can attend a one hour session with a parent/carer or by yourself and we will work towards your goals and objectives whether they be academic, social or emotional. Please contact us to discussion requirements for these sessions and to check availability
